The Steps to Recovering a Windows
Registry
When a Windows registry goes wrong, even in a
small way, it can lead to a lot of trouble and annoyance. There
is of course the obvious computer problems that go along with a
broken registry, many people though make their situation worse
by trying to manual fix their windows registry. In most cases
this will only add to a user’s worries.
Thos who have only a basic understanding of
computers may have trouble when trying to figure out how to fix
their Windows registry. It is often easier to reinstall or
recover the whole Windows registry than to fix individual
problems.
To recover a Windows registry it is necessary
to have backed it up in the first place. Creating a back-up of
the Windows registry is something everyone should do regularly,
especially of a lot of software is installed or uninstalled on
the computer. The latest Windows operating systems make the
process of backing up a lot easier than it used to be.
A back-up can be created by running the
Registry Editor feature, this feature will allow the Windows
registry to be copied, and the copy can then be exported to an
external file. The same feature will also allow a previously
backed up registry to be imported and reinstalled. This means
that any errors that have occurred in the Windows registry
after the last back-up can effectively be deleted from the
whole system.
There are though very few computer users who
make regular back-ups of their registry. This means the chances
of getting a relatively recent registry that is free of error
are virtually nil. This situation leaves only two options when
it comes to restoring a registry to how it should be.
The first option is to reinstalling the whole
Windows operating system, thus in essence rebuilding the whole
computer. This though is a drastic action, and requires every
new program and files to be transferred to disk or memory card;
otherwise it will be lost for ever.
The second option is a lot simpler and comes
without a lot of the hassle. This option is to purchase a good
registry repair program. A registry repair program will be able
to scan a Windows registry, identify errors and fix them,
making the registry act like it was new. In the vast majority
of instances a registry repair program will fix all registry
errors.
This second option will also normally come with
its own back-up feature, which creates a back-up of the
registry which can be simply restored in case of any
problems.
Trying to recover a Windows registry is not an
easy thing to do; it is a lot easier to repair the registry. A
good registry repair program will save you a lot of money, time
and hassle.
RegCure is the most recommended
of all registry repair programs and
our reviews will explain why RegCure is so popular. RegCure is
also available as a free download
that allows a scan of the Windows
registry.
